The Domain has new grass in. It feels real but has a surreal quality. As you can see, it’s almost too perfect. Strangely, nobody is around but a child and her mom. I think the photo was taken around 5pm on a Friday. I was a little disappointed to see The Coffee Bean gone. Will it return?

I was also sad to see all the plants pulled out but I think the new arrangement will work better for events, shows, festivals, etc. I won’t miss the planter with all the bees. Or the fountain that was always turned off.

I assume this entire area will be under some kind of enclosure, attached to that white crab-shaped thing. I filled out a survey once and suggested they needed more shade since the Texas sun is brutal. So maybe this is all my fault ;-)
