As a blogger since 2004, though a lot of experimentation, I figured out the secret to monetizing blog content with advertising. One of the secrets is you need to eliminate distractions for you visitors. You want the content and the advertising to stand out. The best way to do that is with a clean design. Most themes are full of distractions out of the box. This video explains the process of how I clean a WordPress theme to eliminate distractions to make more money.
